On its own, it is a good leash. I have another leash I bought years ago that I like a lot better. I do not know if they still have that quality and I just bought the wrong one or if the design has changed. The old one I have has the rubber come a quarter inch out on both sides along the length of the leash. This fully protects my hands on ever rubbing against the fabric like printed area. On the new leash, the rubber does not even come out an eighth of an inch so i notice rubbing. Otherwise, it is a great leash and will last a lifetime, and the swivel on the clip is great for stopping leash tangling. Good quality clip also. The hand loop area is smaller on the new leash also so my husband cannot fit his hand through it like he can the older one. Just hoping the new one will not slice my hand which is never a concern with the older one because the rubber overlaps the fabric if my dog pulls. So far it has been fine.

Hey Wendy, the tube width varies a little if you call the shop we can find a leash with the thicker tube size.
